TODAY’S NOTICES

1. 3rd LARBERT BOYS’ BRIGADE: A fantastic £525 was raised at our Coffee Morning. Thank you to all who supported us with baking and coming along to have a coffee.
2. AFTER THIS MORNING’S SERVICE the Banner and Craft Group are having a sale of Easter crafts and goodies in the Hall. Something for all ages. Money going to Church funds. The Youth Group will also have a Baking Stall to raise funds to be shared between refurbishing the Upper Room and DEC. Please support both of these stalls.
3. FALKIRK FOODBANK needs UHT and dried milk, cartons of juice (not needing kept cool); tinned vegetables, meat, fish, fruit; biscuits & snacks. Boxes are in the Vestibule and at the door to the Hall.
4. DOING MORE WITH DONATIONS: Gift Aid envelopes are in the Vestibule/on pews. Visitors wishing us to reclaim tax can fill in details on the envelope. Buying online? Try easyfundraising.org.uk, click ‘how it works’; then Support a Good Cause. Larbert East Church is registered.


NOTICES FOR THE COMING WEEK:

5. PRIMARY SCHOOLS CHOIRS CONCERT in Larbert East Church this Wednesday 29th March at 7pm. The Schools have been allocated tickets: £4 adults; children free. Please buy directly from schools as they receive 50% for their funds. Ronnie Summers or George Gillespie have a limited number of tickets or pay at the door.
6. DISCUSSION GROUPS meet this week as follows: The Wednesday Group on 29th March at 2pm in 10 Grove Crescent Carron; the Thursday Group on 30th March at 7.30pm in the Crèche Room. Both groups look at the final study on Ephesians.
7. STENHOUSEMUIR PRIMARY SCHOOL COFFEE MORNING takes place this Thursday 30th March in the Small Hall at 10.45am before Weekday Worship. Entry is by donation which goes to school funds. Please come along and support the children.
8. WEEKDAY WORSHIP continues this Thursday 30th March at 11.15am when Rev Andrew Sarle will take the short 25-minute service. All welcome.
9. SCHOOL EASTER SERVICES take place this week: Kinnaird Primary on Thursday 30th March at 1.30pm in the school (sorry – no room for parents); Stenhousemuir Primary in the Church on Friday 31st March 9.45am; parents and friends welcome.
10. LENTEN STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Fr John McInnes and members of St Bernadette’s RC Church extend a warm invitation to everyone to join them for the remaining Friday evenings in Lent from 7-7.30pm as they reflect on Jesus’ journey to the Cross, and on the ‘Way of the Cross’ in today’s society.


ADVANCE NOTICES:

11. LCYT continue to hold a monthly Prayer breakfast in support of the work of the Trust and our Schools Workers Mike Glass and Gregor Mackay. The next will be on Saturday 1st April in Falkirk Free Church at 9.00am. As ever, all are welcome.
12. NB. ELDERS AND DEACONS: Your district’s Easter cards will be ready for uplift after church next Sunday for you to deliver to members by 9th April please.

15. LARBERT EAST AGM will take place immediately after the morning service (a little shorter than usual) next Sunday 2nd April. Copies of the 2016 Annual Accounts are available on the table in the vestibule for anyone who wishes to see the full accounts. A summary of the accounts will be given at the AGM.
16. BRIDGE CROSS takes place on Saturday 22nd April at 2pm. Why not come along on the day and see the new Queensferry Bridge? Further details from Peter Brown.


NEXT SUNDAY’S SERVICE – PASSION SUNDAY - LENT 5

Next Sunday the Service at 10.30am will be conducted by Melville when we continue our new theme for Lent and Easter, ‘More than Dust’.

The Young Church and Crèche meet as usual (see Regular Notices to the right of this page). There will be tea/coffee and biscuits in the Hall after the service. The Traidcraft Stall will be in the hall.
